Dr. Sheri Nawabi is a meticulous dentist, devoted to keeping her patients healthy, comfortable, and smiling. With more than 20 years of practice in the Washington, D.C. area, her extensive knowledge of dentistry and excellent chair-side manners make her an excellent dentist and a very approachable person.

A postgraduate of Georgetown University School of Dentistry in Washington,D.C., she regularly upgrades her clinical skills by attending continuing education courses covering all areas of cosmetic and general dentistry. She has attended seminars hosted by some of the most reputable speakers in the world.

Dr. Nawabi is a member of numerous professional organizations, including the American Dental Association and DC Dental Society.

She has published an article in journal of dentistry about : porcelain onlays in restoration of vertical dimension .

Dr. Michael A. Gentile

Dr. Michael A. Gentile DMD Diplomate , American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons Dr. Michael A. Gentile was born in Utica, NY and attended the University of Rochester for his undergraduate degree. He graduated with honors from the Harvard School of Dental Medicine in 2003 and completed his specialty training in oral and maxillofacial surgery from the University of North Carolina in 2007. After specialty training, Dr. Gentile began his active duty military career with the United States Navy. He was the staff oral and maxillofacial surgeon at Naval Hospital Lemoore in central California from 2007-2010 and is currently stationed at the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, MD. There he serves as the associate program director for the oral and maxillofacial surgery residency program and was appointed Assistant Professor of Surgery at the Uniform Services University of Health Sciences. Dr. Gentile is board certified by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and is member of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, the Middle Atlantic Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and the American Dental Association. He has published several peer-reviewed articles on topics including short dental implants and health-related quality of life following third molar extractions. He also co-authored a chapter on post-operative pain control in a reputable oral and maxillofacial surgery text. Outside of the office, Dr. Gentile enjoys spending time with his family. He is an avid runner, golfer and sports fan.

 

 

Dr. Ibrahim Alhussain

Dr. Ibrahim Alhusain is our in-house orthodontist. He received his dental degree (DMD) from the School of Dental Medicine at University of Pennsylvania graduating with honors in 2003. He then received his orthodontic certificate in 2006 from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine at the Montefiore Medical Center in New York.

Dr. Alhussain joined our practice with more than six years of previous orthodontic experience from France where he obtained his first dental and orthodontics degrees. He has served as a faculty member in France and at the University of Pennsylvania, as well as lecturer in various international Orthodontic meetings. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics and an active member of the American Association of Orthodontists, Southern Association of Orthodontists. He is also a member of the American Dental Association, Friends of the Dental and Craniofacial Research, and the European Orthodontic Society.

Dr. James Macholl served as a general dentist in the U.S. Army Dental Corps, including an AEGD (advanced education in general dentistry), following dental school. In 1995, Dr. Macholl began a six year residency in oral and maxillofacial surgery. He attended medical school at the University of Texas, Houston, and completed an internship in general surgery. After receiving his certificate in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in 2001, Dr. Macholl returned to the military. He began his current practice at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in 2006, practicing full spectrum oral and maxillofacial surgery. He joined our practice in the beginning of 2007.

Dr. Macholl is a diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, and an active member of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
